What an imported fruit distributorship involves
This is not a franchise and there is no fee. A fruit dealership opportunity with us means a supply relationship: we agree the categories, the volume and the season windows, and you take allocation against that programme in your territory. You hold the customer relationships. We hold the sourcing, the import, the compliance and the cold chain.
We plan around what your market actually absorbs. A distributor moving forty cartons of cherries in December is planned differently from one running year-round apple volume, and both are legitimate. What we do not do is push a standard container at everyone and hope.
What you get
- 01
Access to all twelve categories — mandarins, apples, pears, grapes, oranges, grapefruit, kiwis, dragon fruit, avocados, plums, wet dates and cherries
- 02
Seasonal and year-round programmes planned against your shelf dates, not against our arrivals
- 03
Quality-controlled produce with grade and count agreed in writing before shipping
- 04
Full cold-chain handling to your delivery point, with arrival condition checked before release
- 05
Licensed and branded programmes where available, including club varieties
- 06
One commercial contact in Navi Mumbai or Delhi who stays with your account season after season
Who we appoint
Distributors
Businesses with existing route-to-market in a defined territory who want to build a dependable premium-fruit portfolio. Cold storage and temperature-controlled delivery capability matter here — imported fruit is unforgiving of a warm last mile.
Wholesalers
Traders at Vashi APMC, Azadpur mandi and regional fresh markets who need coordinated selections and reliable weekly arrivals rather than opportunistic one-off lots.
Retail chains
Modern trade and supermarket buyers planning fruit programmes around season, presentation and shelf performance. We plan backwards from your promotion calendar, which for short seasons like cherries means the conversation happens months ahead.
HoReCa and food service
As a HoReCa fruit supplier in India we work with hotels, restaurant groups, QSR chains, cloud kitchens and catering companies. Specification consistency is usually the priority here rather than price — a chef needs the same avocado every week, not the cheapest one this week.
Institutional and regional partners
Procurement teams working to fixed specifications, and partners extending premium fruit availability into tier-two and tier-three markets where imported categories are still underserved.
Growers and exporters
If you produce fruit anywhere in the world and are looking at India market entry for fresh produce, we provide the route: import compliance, cold chain, national distribution and honest season-by-season feedback. This is also the path for anyone wanting to launch a fruit brand in India.

Before you apply
The applications that move fastest are the specific ones. Tell us your company name, city and the markets you actually serve; whether your customers are wholesale, retail, food service or institutional; which categories you want and roughly what monthly volume; and what cold storage and delivery capability you have. Approximate figures are fine — please do not send confidential financial information through the form.
Frequently asked questions
How do I become a fruit distributor for PR Agrifresh?
Submit the application form with your territory, customer network, category requirement and handling capability. Our commercial team reviews it and comes back with a requirement call.
Is there a fee for an imported fruit distributorship?
No. This is a supply relationship, not a franchise. There is no distributorship or dealership fee.
What is the minimum volume to become a distributor?
It varies by category and territory. Cherries and wet dates have short seasons and different economics to year-round apples. Share your expected volume and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
Do you appoint exclusive distributors by territory?
Territory arrangements are discussed case by case during the requirement call, based on coverage and category.
Can I supply hotels and restaurants through PR Agrifresh?
Yes. HoReCa and food-service supply is one of the channels we appoint partners for, and specification consistency is planned into those programmes.
