Our signature selection

The Mandarin, reimagined — our signature selection

Mandarins are the fruit we are known for. We import them from China between December and July and from South Africa between August and November, filling the long gap after India's domestic kinnow and Nagpur santra seasons close. Radiant rind colour, clean segmentation, easy peel and a balanced sugar-acid finish are the four cues we select against — and the reason our mandarin programmes hold their price through the season.

A 50-year foundation

Fresh fruit importers with a 50-year foundation

The business was incorporated in 2009 by Director Mr. Rakesh Sharma, built on five decades of fresh-produce trade knowledge established by his father, Mr. Yograj Sharma. That inheritance matters commercially: knowing which orchard blocks perform in a difficult season, which packhouse holds its grade under pressure and which arrival window protects shelf life is not something a price list teaches. It is why buyers treat us as fresh fruit importers in India rather than a broker with a container to move.

Every consignment is bought against a customer programme, not against a punt on the spot market. That single decision is what keeps quality, pricing and availability predictable for the businesses that depend on us.

Our story

The collection · 12 selections

12 imported fruit selections, one standard

Our imported fruits range covers everyday core categories and high-demand exotic fruits in India, each with a defined origin set and availability window.

Between them these twelve categories cover the full calendar. When one hemisphere finishes, the other begins — which is how a premium fruit distributor in India keeps a retail shelf stocked in the months when local supply disappears.

Nine origins. One standard.

Nine origins, one sourcing standard

We source from South Africa, Chile, China, New Zealand, Italy, Poland, Egypt, Turkey and Vietnam. Origins are chosen for what they do best in a given window rather than for what is cheapest that week: Chile for late-season cherries and plums, New Zealand and Italy for kiwifruit, South Africa for citrus and pears, Vietnam for dragon fruit, Italy, Poland, New Zealand and South Africa for apples.

The same specification travels with the order in every country — grade, count, packaging, pallet configuration and pulp temperature at loading. One standard, nine passports.

Premium Mandarin protected through the cold chain

The unbroken journey

Cold chain is not a step. It is the product.

Imported fruit is a temperature product before it is a taste product. Our chain runs unbroken across seven stages — orchard, inspection, packing, cold storage, sea logistics, arrival and distribution — with 100% temperature-controlled movement across the 1,500+ reefer containers we handle each year. Break the chain for six hours in transit and no amount of orchard quality can rescue the arrival.

Twelve categories: mandarins, apples, pears, grapes, oranges, grapefruit, kiwis, dragon fruit, avocados, plums, wet dates and cherries — imported from nine countries and distributed nationwide.

Do you sell imported fruits to individual customers?

No. PR Agrifresh supplies in commercial volumes to distributors, wholesalers, retail chains and food-service buyers. Retail shoppers will find our fruit through those partners.

Where are your offices?

Corporate head office in Vashi, Navi Mumbai and a distribution hub at Azadpur Sabji Mandi, Delhi.

How do I get an imported fruit price list?

Prices move weekly with origin, grade, count and arrival window. Share your fruit, volume and city through the enquiry form and our commercial team will send current landed pricing.

Yes — that is the core of the business. Southern-hemisphere origins such as Chile, South Africa and New Zealand supply exactly when the northern-hemisphere and Indian seasons are closed.
